CRT
projectors are the best type of projector for high-resolution display.
While not as bright as DLP projectors, they are capable of displaying
much higher resolution signals in their native formats. These projectors
are best suited for low ambient light conditions, and are typically used
with screens less than 100” wide.
Since
the image is ‘drawn’ with an electron beam, it is not limited
to one resolution like a DLP or Plasma display, which have a fixed
number of pixels. As a result, CRT projectors will always have better
resolution capability than other types of displays.
